Where do WE start!?
Our couple and both families decided to stay in the farmhouse for the week leading up to the special day. We nail-bitingly counted down the days to one of the most exciting weekends we’ve had at the farm – HOSTING OUR FIRST WEDDING! It helped that the Bride & Groom were incredible throughout the process, leading up to what normally is, a stressful day.
The Saturday morning approached – All week we had all been crossing our fingers for sunny weather and yes, we were given amazing weather that morning!
90 very well dressed and sophisticated wedding guests from London descended to Holwell Farmhouse on Saturday 5th March at 11:30am. It was an exciting moment – after two years of renovating, planning and organising, this was the moment – no turning back! Our wedding guests sat in-front of the farmhouse with the sun beaming down.
Our bride looked incredible, walking steadily towards the front of the farmhouse in her stunning white dress. Our groom looked sharp, suited and booted and ready for the big moment – As you can imagine, we were all very tearful!
After the beautiful celebrant, carried out by a member of the Brides family, the canapés & Prosecco were flowing and it was a great chance to see how the farmhouse managed itself with so many guests – It was perfect.
Our recommended and trusted caterer did a fantastic job with the bespoke three course meal and evening buffet. – Not an unfinished plate in sight! The best man and family speeches were funny yet warm and loving. It really was amazing to hear and see so much love.
The evening flowed perfectly with help of the excellent DJ and saxophonist Daniel Costin. The Bride, Groom and their immediate families were the last to leave the dance floor – so a successful evening!
The day was a huge success and our Bride & Groom thoroughly enjoyed tying the knot in-front of their nearest and dearest in a rural countryside setting that was fit for a big party!
We had our amazing wedding co-ordinator on hand from initial enquiry to pack down on the Sunday. We approached Hazel Parsons weddings and events consultancy a year ago and tried to find somebody to help fill a void in our wedding business. Hazel and her team most definitely filled the gap by assisting with each and every part of the process and the special weekend.
We can’t wait to share more of the wonderful and sunny weekend that it was, soon. To end, we can’t thank our amazing couple Han & Dan enough for choosing us as their venue and we wish them a very very happy future together.
